TWO new defibrillators have been installed in Malvern, funded by Malvern Rotary Club’s Tree of Light 2017 campaign
One is located at the Hills Ford Garage in Newtown Road, the second at Somers Park Avenue Methodist Church.
The presentations were made by the president of Malvern Rotary Club, Sandy Gibson, to Richard Hartley of Malvern Heartstart.
Tim Hill of Hills Ford has recognised the value of the defibrillator and will arrange training for staff and look for additional funding through the motor trade.
Rotary will also be funding a third defibrillator at a site to be identified shortly.
Richard Vakis-Lowe of Heartstart said: “I would like to thank the Rotary Club for their most generous donation and to Hills Ford and Somers Park Avenue Methodist Church for allowing Heartstart Malvern to install defibrillators on their premises.
“I would now encourage residents to come to a free Heartstart Malvern training session to learn how to use them, this could help save a life.”
