A BUILDING firm has donated and installed a life-saving piece of equipment at a nursery. McCarthy and Stone unveiled the defibrillator at Gorseway Nursery School, on Hayling Island, which can be used in cardiac arrest emergencies.
The firm’s marketing executive Elizabeth Bowden visited the nursery on Manor Road and met its owner Caroline Wrixton. Peter Halkyard, from the Hayling Island community first responders, welcomed the installation of the defibrillator. Find out more Sponsored by Visit Scotland ‘However, with the use of CPR and a defibrillator, the chance of survival can be increased. ‘We sincerely hope that no one in the area finds themselves in this situation, however with the installation of this life-saving equipment on the outside of the Gorseway Nursery School, we are equipped should the worst happen.’
